The OIC said that the attack on an Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital in Gaza by Israel was a form of terrorism because it was carried out by an organized country so it fell into the category of war crimes.
"We strongly condemn the brutal killings by Israel in hospitals. Precisely in the Gaza Strip and consider it organized state terrorism and war crimes," wrote the OIC statement as reported by Anadolu, Wednesday 18 October 2023.
The statement was made by the bloc of 57 Muslim countries and demanded and held the Israeli occupation accountable for the consequences of the crimes they committed.
The main reason is that it goes against all human values and commits violations that violate international humanitarian law.
In this case, the OIC also emphasizes the necessity and need for responsibility and punishment for actions carried out by Israel.
"The international community, especially the UN Security Council, must not remain silent, as soon as possible intervene and play an active role in stopping the war crimes committed by the Israeli occupation of the Gaza Strip, especially providing international protection for the Palestinian people," the statement added.
From this incident, the number of victims who died was more than 500 people as a result of the Israeli air attack on Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital in Gaza, this was conveyed by Health Ministry spokesperson Ashraf al-Qudra to Anadolu.
