For the sake of safety, Tesla wants to withdraw his car in America
ILMU CORO. Thursday 16 February 2023. Finally, the world's leading car company, Tesla Inc (TSLA.O) agreed to agree with the Washington authorities to withdraw 362,000 cars produced in the United States to update its software feature, namely FULL Self Driving or FSD beta where this feature or software is a sophisticated feature in the car community made by Tesla which makes it easier for drivers to still be able to accelerate, especially in winding or cornering terrain. These convenience features make American car drivers ignore driving safety, thus triggering the accident rate in the region. Under these conditions, the authorities asked the TESLA company to withdraw all the cars it produced, especially the types of cars that were equipped with the FSD beta software.
Initially, the Tesla car company did not immediately agree to the proposal by the United States authorities, namely NHTSA, to withdraw its cars to update the FSD beta software system with a new system to minimize road accident rates. TESLA itself thinks that what the authorities are analyzing, in this case, NHTSA, is not true, it must be reviewed again and after going through various kinds of in-depth studies on Thursday 16 February 2023 TESLA finally agreed to withdraw cars equipped with an FSD system of approximately 362,000 units and will be replaced or updated with a new, more friendly and sophisticated software system called Over-The-air or called OTA and done for free.
According to TESLA, regarding the cars produced that feature the FSD software system, it is claimed that there are 18 generations and to find out the types of cars that will be recalled and updated, the software system from FSD is replaced with OTA software free of charge as follows type:
A. Model S cars from 2016 to 2023.
B. Model X cars released in 2016-2023.
C. Model 3 type cars produced from 2017 to 2023.
D. Model Y cars 2020 to 2023 production.
